The Southwest Campus of Central Christian Church put on an amazing tea party for their annual women’s event.

This year the theme was an Alice in Wonderland Mad Hatter Tea Party.  Many of the volunteers dressed up in character to make the event even more spectacular.  A lot of hours and dedication went into planning this event (I know because I helped plan it).

To top off the evening, our special guest speaker, Lori Wilhite, came to share an amazing message about relying on Christ in this Mad Mad world we live in.

We also celebrated Lori’s “VERY HAPPY UNBIRTHDAY” as she is turning 40 on Monday!  Before she left, Lori showed off her dance moves by dancing to the Whip, Nay Nay. (And she was awesome at it.. hehe)

This was such a fun event to volunteer for and participate in! Thank you to all the amazing volunteers who made this event fantastic!

We decided that we needed a little break from technology, hot weather and the busyness of life and so we found this little cabin for rent up at Brianhead Resort in Utah and went for a few nights over Labor Day weekend. Our good friends, the Curtis’ joined us at the little cozy cabin. We visited Cedar Breaks Monument and took a 3 mile hike way up into the mountains (900 ft up from where we started)  When we got to the top of the hike, there was a beautiful mountain lake that the boys spent some time playing around. The hike was so steep that several of us got blisters and had pretty sore legs afterwards.

The little cabin we rented had a cute little swing and a good sized firepit. We played games, built fires with s’mores of course, laughed a lot and enjoyed spending time together. It was just what we all needed for the weekend.  My husband loves camping but I was having a hard time with wrapping my head around sleeping with a 4 month old in a tent and so this was the perfect compromise.

We can’t wait for our next outdoor adventure!

I met Alyssa 15 years ago when she attended my wedding as a guest of a friend.

Little did I know that our paths would cross again 14 years later when she was seeking out a childbirth class.

We have become great friends and I’ve had the chance to photograph her little boy over the past year.

I love taking this family’s photos and look forward to watching their little guy continue to grow!

I am a little behind on last years blog posts but still wanted to share this beautiful family’s photos.

It was one of the coldest days of the year during this session and the wind would not stop, but these guys stuck through it!

Hannah and Jeff are amazing people and I feel lucky to know them.  I was at the birth of their little girl and we’ve remained

friends since.  I can’t wait to take more photos of this awesome family!

It’s that time of year again.. Back to school.

This year I decided to do my own kids school photos as I just have a hard time paying a ton of $$ for poor photographs.

I can’t believe I have 3 of my 4 boys in school!

2015-08-23_0001.jpgPINIMAGEShane is going into the 4th grade is a smart, funny, thoughtful and caring boy.

2015-08-23_0002.jpgPINIMAGEKyle is going into the 1st grade and is so energetic, funny, loving and sweet boy. He has a rowdy side but he is 6 after all.

And Little Max. This is his first year of preschool and will be in the Pre-K class.

He is the most excited of all the boys! He is a thoughtful, caring, and happy boy.
