I met Darryl and Tracy through our church a few years ago. Darryl had come on to lead the youth ministry and Tracy was always smiling and welcoming everyone she came into contact with. Shortly after I met them, Darryl became the campus pastor for our church, Central Christian Church, Southwest Campus. I started serving along side of him in the church’s activities and events committee and became close friends with Tracy by attending the women’s group. Their son Reese also became a good friend of my oldest son as they are the same age.

Recently, Darryl was asked to move to Kingman Arizona to become the campus pastor of that location of our church, Central Christian. This awesome family will be moving there shortly and while I am sad that I won’t get to see them several times a week, I can only feel blessed to have become lifelong friends with them. I also feel very blessed that I was able to take their family photos this past fall. As you can see they are laughing in a lot of their photos. This is not only how the session went, but how they really are.  Happy, laughing, and just fun people to be around.

I wish them the best in their new adventure in Kingman and can only have a full heart knowing that they are where God wants them to be and that I was able to share in a little bit of their life here in Vegas!

I met Kami in Highschool and we became instant friends. We’ve remained close friends through the years and always make time to see each other I travel back to Colorado to visit family. I would consider her family as well!  🙂  This past fall while visiting Colorado, I was able to take some photos of Kami’s daughter, Peyton and her BFF, Shay.

We also took some of Peyton and her cousins for Peyton’s grandma. These teens were full of laughs, smiles and we had a blast getting wet in the freezing river. Grandma was super excited when she saw the photos of her grandbabies in their sports uniforms too!  I had so much fun hanging with one of my best friends and doing what I love to do!

I have been photographing this cute little lady for almost 3 years now. Her mama has so many adorable ideas for photo shoots and I love how her sessions turn out. This one happens to be one of my favorite sessions of Cassandra. We went out to Spring Mountain Ranch and found the most perfect spot for her dresses. And I love her bohemian style for this session! Cassandra’s grandparents were in town and our session ended with a few hugs from grandma and grandpa! Looking forward to our next shoot as I know Cassandras mom won’t disappoint!

Going out to sessions in new locations can sometimes be nerve wracking. You aren’t sure how the family communicates, what the dynamics are, will the children smile or throw a tantrum, will mom and dad be stressed out, did I get enough shots, did I get the right shots, etc…..

Fortunately for this session, I didn’t have to worry about any of those things. You see, Erika is a not only a friend, but is also an amazing photographer and colleague. Erika and I spent a lot of time talking and planning this session and because they are children of a photographer, her girls knew how to pose and stand, when to laugh and smile, how to get it done quickly and without complaint.  I love how their photographs turned out, and feel so blessed that I was able to take these photos for her and her family as well as spend some very much cherished time with Erika and her family before they left Las Vegas.   (They moved out of state right after this session)

Steven’s sister and family also joined in the session as to get some much needed grandkid photos for their parents.  Here are a few from their little part of the session.

The Jaffe Family asked if we could do their mini session in a tree lot at night! I was up for the challenge and this session ended up being one of the more fun sessions this season.

Kristina also happens to be one of my good friends from church which makes for even more fun! We dodged the employees, got sap on our hands, used new lighting techniques and laughed most of the time. Big thanks to the Jaffe Family for pushing me out of my comfort zone and creating a fun family session for the holidays!
